ABOUT NANCY
Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still." Dorothea Lange
I am a lifestyle photographer currently living and working in Philadelphia, PA. Although my work continues to evolve, my visual intention has always remained focused on documenting the human condition. After living for many years in Bucks County, PA, my recent immersion in city life has allowed the environment to emerge as a major component in my storytelling.
I have studied at the International Center of Photography in New York and for many years was involved in the Photography Program at Bucks County Community College. I am currently enrolled in the Certificate program at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, and continue to hone my craft at the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center.
My photographs have most recently been exhibited with Philadelphia Photo Arts Center, with the Doylestown Photography Club, at Bucks County Community College, and can be seen in various locations throughout Bucks County.
My photographic style is similar to my personality...neither staged nor formal and forever continuing to evolve. I strive to keep each photo session relaxed and uncomplicated as my goal is to capture my subject's natural essence. Whether taking family photos, street scenes, a professional headshot or stills for a local business, one of my priorities is to keep the session unique and enjoyable while capturing those instants out of time that tell our story.
